We’re looking for a Senior Structural Engineer

Established in 2001 we are a small, busy practice based just outside Derby City Centre.

We pride ourselves in the fact that we can be relied upon to provide our clients with full and complete professional engineering solutions for property based problems, delivered competitively and on time.

We are a friendly team with a reputation for delivering a quality service and we have worked hard to establish ourselves as the number one choice for many clients in the area.

Much of our work is local, however, we have been commissioned to carry out work in London, Scotland, South Wales, Cornwall, Ireland and Africa.

The company is currently experiencing an upsurge in workload and we are outperforming profitability year on year.

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join the team in a senior position working alongside the company director.

The role would be varied and interesting including:

  • Undertaking site surveys
  • Preparing structural calculations
  • Producing structural reports
  • Producing CAD drawings
  • Mentoring our Graduate Engineers
  • Managing several projects at one time
  • Projects would include commercial, industrial and residential designs.
  • Attending meetings

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate would be expected to have;

  • 5+ years industry experience
  • Be highly motivated
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have the ability to work under the minimum of supervision to tight deadlines
  • Track record of problem solving and project management
  • Be conversant with design in steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
  • A working knowledge of Fastrak Portals, Tedds and AutoCad
  • Own car and driving licence

In return we are offering a competitive salary of £40 to £45k pa depending upon experience. Fuel allowance and company bonus scheme.
